It’s giving Tuesday and we’ve decided to introduce a new giving system! We had previously been using PayPal which was doing the job, but was very limited as it was not setup for a donation system. Our new system uses a company called Kindrid. They offer services for non-profits to track donors and donations, setup event registrations and much more. It also provides us with a text-to-give phone number (just text OMA to 45777) that helps people get setup to donate. All of this is done with bank level security to ensure that our donors have zero risk involved when giving to our ministry.
Below are some key questions that we ourselves had, and that the average giver has. These are all pulled from Kindred’s Giver FAQ.
Is my card and bank account information secure?
Yes, absolutely. All sensitive financial information is stored with bank level security. All information is secured with 256 AES encryption and stored by our banking partner to Level 1 PCI compliance standards. Additionally, all transmissions to our banking partner and on our site are via an encrypted HTTPS connection.
How will my phone number be used?
Your phone number will never be sold, traded, or given out to third parties. You will only be texted to confirm your giving and receive responses to other requests you make.
How will I know when my credit card or bank account is charged?
Anytime your card or account is charged you will receive both an email and a text message confirmation from our system.
What is the phone number I text and whose is it?
The phone number you are texting is a secure number that belongs to your church, through Kindrid Giving. It is used exclusively for giving.
What is Kindrid Giving?
Kindrid is a company dedicated to unleashing generosity. Your church partners with us for text and online giving.
